Angeliki Tzortzakaki (1990) is an independent writer and curator currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Many folks have lived and many languages have been spoken in the island of Crete, where she was born and raised; that had a significant impact on her research. Her cultural and educational background triggered her attention towards alternative body economies, especially when it comes to states of transition, negotiation of debt, performativity of care, sleep and light policies and, most of all, leisure. In this realm, her practice takes choreography as a starting point in an effort to create formats drawn by rhythmical compositions and invisible scores. Besides loitering with bi-, Angeliki is part of the 2-year research fellowship “A Natural Oasis?” and collaborates for research and administration matters with Looiersgracht 60 in Amsterdam.
