TEST is not exactly a performance, but an 8 hour-long presentation mediated through the bodies of dance and music.
It is an organisation in space and time that interferes directly an poetically with the people of Matsudo.
Along the 8-hours-long in the Nishiguchi Park, the piece will compose itself live.
The 4 actors (3 sound artists and 1 choreographer) are in the tight relationship that emphasizes on flowing leaderships, harmony, oppositions and silences.
They will compose live according to the site and the situation with the principles of: triggers, points in space, geometrical awareness, mimetism of sounds and environmental movements.
But most of all they will allow free space for casuality and encounters.
The public space is unforeseeable once you engage with music and dance and the challenge is to navigate between different modes of presentation.
What are the multiple variations between performance and daily chat?
It is not about giving a show, TEST proposes an unusual presence in public space, suggesting to re-invent our relationships through poetical behaviors.
Emilia’s research in Japan is dealing with floating memory and dance-documentary.
For TEST she will use her dancing personal as a filter or catalyszer of the 11 days spent in Tokyo-Matsudo.
