PARADISE AIR will host three students from Tainan University of Technology in Taiwan as international interns for a month. This marks the first occasion for PARADISE AIR to collaborate with an overseas university in accepting interns, and we intend to share our knowledge on managing artist residencies and collaborating with artists.

In addition, a public lecture by Tainan University of Technology will be held at PARADISE AIR. The first part will feature Professor Huang Chin Fu from the university’s Fine Art Department, who will discuss the art festival undertaken on Penghu(澎湖), an outlying island in the southwestern part of Taiwan. In the second part, Szu-Han Lee will talk about the traditional performing arts of East Asia, his area of expertise. Introducing art initiatives in Matsudo, this event will be an opportunity to share and exchange knowledge about the cultures of different cities. The lecture is open to everyone, so please feel free to attend.

About PARADISE AIR Taipei Wing

PARADISE AIR launched a derivative project called “台北翼 – Taipei Wing,” following Moe Fujisue, a member of the PARADISE AIR management team, relocating to Taipei, Taiwan, and obtaining the Taiwan Employment Gold Card Visa in the Culture and Arts field. Aiming to provide support and communication in languages other than Japanese and English, and to create a safe and secure environment for creative work in Chinese, the project coordinates residency activity for not only Taiwanese artists but also for a broad range of Chinese-speaking artists. By taking advantage of having management team members outside of Japan, it is exploring new phases as an artist-in-residence program.
