Born in 1983, is a Lecturer of Aesthetics and Art History at Kanazawa College of Art. He received his M.A. (2007) and Ph.D. (2014) from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo. His publications include Rhetoric of the Sublime (Tokyo: Getsuyosha, 2017), The Sublime and the Uncanny (co-edited, Tokyo: UTCP, 2016), Diversities in Aesthetics (co-authored, Beijing: Social Sciences Press, 2013) and Contemporary Art Theory (co-authored, Tokyo: EOS, 2013). He has translated books and essays by continental philosophers such as Jean-François Lyotard, Catherine Malabou, Quentin Meillassoux and so on.
