Giuseppe Micciché (b. 1971 in Winterthur, Switzerland) is an Italian Swiss photographer. Graduated with honours in Photography at Zurich University of the Arts, he lives and works in Zurich. His project ‘Cento passi’ (A Hundred Steps) won the Prix Photoforum Award in Biel-Bienne and the Swiss Federal Design Award in Basel. It also won him a New York Studio Grant from the City of Zurich. In 2014 ‘Cento passi’ was published by Edition Patrick Frey, a book documenting the author’s last moments with his dying father, who was suffering from dementia, with a story about immigration and saying goodbye to Winterthur, the Swiss industrial town where the father lived and worked for thirty years after emigrating from Sicily. Edition Patrick Frey also published in 2023 his photo essay ‘No ponte’, a long-term photography project about a costal region of Sicily that is shaped by a centuries-old, unfulfilled vision of a gigantic bridge to the mainland.
