Completed the doctoral program in Studies on Global Coexistence at the Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, earning a Ph.D. in Human and Environmental Studies. Specializes in Japanese-Chinese comparative theater, Taiwanese traditional theater, and Japanese traditional performing arts. Formerly served as an assistant at the Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum at Waseda University and as a postdoctoral researcher at the Graduate Institute of Taiwanese Literature at National Chengchi University. Currently holds the position of assistant professor in the Department of Fine Arts at Tainan University of Technology. Lee has published several studies, including an analysis of the adaptation and performance of “The Peach Blossom Fan” in contemporary Taiwan; research on Mei Lanfang and the Taiwanese theater under Japanese rule, based on articles from the Taiwan Nichinichi Shinpo (Taiwan Daily Newspaper); a study on the Taiwan tour of Takemoto Osumitayu and the development of Gidayu-bushi in Taiwan during the early Japanese colonial period; and a study on the reception of Beijing Opera in modern Japan, focusing on dramas featuring female actors at the Imperial Theater.
