Mariela Vita

My artistic exploration is currently linked to the research and production of projects around space and animism. I provoke encounters between materials, convinced that they harbor a soul. I articulate the pieces so that they dialogue with each other, with the space and the interlocutors. Site-specific projects that house creatures that appear. I try to create a dreamlike place that takes us away from reality and transports us to new possible worlds. I wish to be building some of them. In 2023 he obtains the 8M Acquisition Award; Mention of jury “Premio Braque”, by Muntref and the French Embassy in Argentina. In 2022 he obtains the National Award in the Tridimension category, granted by the “Fondo Nacional de las Artes” and holds his last solo exhibition “Un lugar a donde ir” at the NN gallery. In 2020 obtains a grant “Activar Patrimonio”, “Museo Nacional de Arte Oriental”, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
