Sayaka Ōsaki

Poet. Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1982. Graduated from the Department of Literature, Waseda University. Sayaka won the Nakahara Chuya Award for her poetry collection, “Yubisasukoto ga Dekinai” (I Can’t Point). She is the author of several books including the poetry collection “Odoru Ziyu” (Freedom to Dance) (Sayusha) and “Atarashii Sumika” (A New Place to Live) (Seidosha), and picture book “Umino Iimono Takaramono” (Good Things and Treasure in the Sea) (illustrated by Mao Yamaguchi, Fukuinkan Shoten Publishers.) Collaborative works include the stage performance “Oto de Miru Dansu no Waku in puroguresu final” (Final: A Dance Work in Progress to Watch with Sound), projection mapping “Takao wo Meguru” (Touring Takao), and many more. Invited to the Poetry International Festival Rotterdam 2019. Part-time lecturer at Joshibi University of Art and Design since 2020.
